Some pursuits require raw endurance and strength, perfect execution with hundreds of possible single points of failure, or a way around a limitation. Others require you to think differently, spot an errant belief, tackle underground interests, take a costly political stance, or do something unfamiliar. There may or may not be recognition, and others may or may not stand with you. Often, the emotional and relational toll supercedes the physical one. You may even go in knowing you face small or impossible odds because it beats the alternative. If you misunderstand the demand, more effort makes little difference because something hidden stands in the way.
